Last Saturday was a FAB day for a Wedding, the weather was pleasantly warm, the forecast rain didn’t arrive until well after any outdoor photos were shot, and I was at a stunning Wedding Venue in Lancaster Town Hall

Although I’ve walked past this awesome building many times, probably into the hundreds of times now as I live just a mile up the hill from it and I pass it every time I walk into town, I’d not actually been in it

And what a VERY pleasant surprise it was on Saturday to visit for the first time as a Lancaster Wedding Photographer for my very first Wedding there, for Ursula & Adam

It was a very informal Wedding with just 34 family & guests in total. Ursula wore a lovely dress, but not a Wedding dress, and she had no flowers; just a couple of the guys had buttonholes

They even met up beforehand to discuss any final points too, partly, as I think they put it, it wasn’t their ‘first rodeo’

After a lovely & short Ceremony we went downstairs for a lot of Group photo combinations, and a brief set of Bride & Groom ones too; photos of themselves wasn’t a high priority a this couple wanted their partying to take central stage

We did nip out later for a couple of night-time shots in front of the Town Hall, but otherwise it was party all the way

Once finished at Lancaster Town Hall we set off on the HUGE walk to reception at the Accidental Brewery – all 100 yards away lol

After 3 funny Speeches, which were also quite moving at times too, everyone settled into party mode

Reception food was different too, with a local Pizzeria delivering two sets of 15 pizzas at a time – and boy did they go down well too !!!

A 3-piece Band then turned up and sang a whole range of song types as the beers flowed

By 9:30pm though, my attendance had ended, and after a while host of thanks from the couple and several of their Guests I set off for home… arriving less than 10 mins later 😀

That I work as a Lancaster Wedding Photographer with so may FAB venues right on my doorstep is immensely satisfying
