I’m sure I’ve said this before, but ALL Weddings are great
Happiest of times, happiest of people, which makes for a great day for such as this Lancaster Wedding Photographer to be there recording those happiest of memories for the happiest of couples
That said, some Weddings are just a bit more ‘Special’ than others!
And so it was for Jon & Donna’s Whitley Hall Hotel Wedding recently; partly as it was a truly great day, but also because I’ve known Jon as a camera-buddy for many years; so its always an extra special privilege to be chosen to photograph a friend’s Wedding, and perhaps moreso when that friend was also a fellow Barnsley Wedding Photographer too
At pretty much ALL Weddings the bubbly flows, but here the bubbles were not just flowing, but positively being blown around as an alternative to confetti lol
My day started with Donna & Jess getting ready under the watchful (and miserable even accusing) eye of some woman in a dour painting! But if she was trying with the evil-eye it clearly didn’t work as Prep was hilarious fun
The Ceremony itself started in an unusual way with the Registrar posing the happy couple for me! Before spinning them around so their Guests could more easily see and enjoy; some registrars are defo more fun than others!
Post Ceremony, and post Group photos (overloading the jetty at times! OOPS!) it was just candid fun and partying
We did have a short Bride & Groom session later in the day, and Whitley Hall made for a stunning backdrop for this, but candids & fun was more the order of the day; which lead to considerably more photos being delivered than usual at close to 900 !!!
