Lancaster’s Registry Office at Georgian House, 4 Queen St, Lancaster LA1 1RS, is one of the best I’ve ever photographed to!

Not only is it perfectly located close to Lancaster’s City Centre, but there’s ample parking, its a lovely building inside with a large Waiting Room, and the Registrars are lovely helpful people

As a Lancaster Registry Office Wedding Photographer what you really need is Registrars that appreciate the Wedding is all about the couple, rather than them! I appreciate that sounds really obvious, but having photographed Weddings all over the north of England its sadly not always the case!

So when I photographer Caron & Mick’s Wedding at Lancaster Registry Office last week I was truly delighted to be met with the most friendly & helpful Registrars, who then, during the Wedding Ceremony, actually were watching what I was doing and actively moving out of my way to ensure I had the best photos I could – AWESOME

They also showed me the small, but FAB, garden are at the rear of the building which is just big enough for a few Group photos; not only a great surprise but a definite bonus for anyone thinking of having their Wedding at Lancaster Registry Office

Lancaster Registry Office Wedding Photographer for Caron & Mick

My first Wedding I've photographed here was an absolute delight

Caron & Mick’s Wedding at the Lancaster Registry Office was my first here, and its only a small part of their unfolding Wedding Story too

I first met Caron & Mick earlier in 2024 when I was acting as a Broadoaks Country House Wedding Photographer, in the wonderful Lake District, and it seems I made such an impression on them there they immediately asked if I would be available for their Wedding too = RESULT lol

As they’ve both been married before they wanted a more informal Wedding, and so chose to have their Wedding Ceremony at Lancaster Registry Office, but their post-Ceremony party in their own back garden a week later (which I’ve not photographed as yet)

At our Wedding Photography planning meeting I suggested that we could split my 8-hours attendance between each event, especially as I now live in Lancaster and Lancaster Registry Office is only a mile or so away at the bottom of our hill

Caron thought this a wonderful idea, and so it was Booked

I only found out just before their Wedding that Mick had no idea I would be there for the Ceremony !!!

That’s typical Brides & Grooms for you – one PLANS it all the other just turns up when told 😀

Anyway, enough babble – here’s the photos so far, which, as you can tell, I had my Black & White mojo working again 🙂

Those (57) photos are just a sample of the 150 delivered to Caron & Mick from their lovely Wedding Ceremony, and which brought this immediate thanks & praise…

“Thank you so much, David.

We love the naturalness of the photos but also appreciate the formal ones.

You were complimented by our guests, of your friendly manner and professionalism.

Looking forward to us all getting together again, on Saturday.

With best wishes Mr & Mrs Clift”

So if you’re thinking of having your Wedding at Lancaster Registry Office, then I’d happily recommend it too as its a far better experience than many places (posh hotels included !!!) I’ve been to
